I wanted to express not only my personal thanks but also that of my entire family for the care of the entire team of SummerHouse Ashton Manor gave my Mom on a daily basis. I personally witnessed each time I went to visit her just how difficult it is for caregivers each day as so many of the residents require a different level of personal care. It takes special people to care for the elderly and you all do it very well. Each of you provide and care for my Mom as if she were a member of your own family. I wanted to let everyone know that even though there were complaints at times the professionalism you all carry with you each day is first class and your personalized care was very much noticed and always appreciated. Thank you for making my Mom‘s last months ones of dignity and respect. God bless you all!

I know we’ve tried but we will never be able to express our thanks for all you’ve done for nearly 8 years for our Mom. She loved SummerHouse Ashton Manor and each one of you. She thought of you as friends, not caretakers. The frequent music (thank Mr. Joe, please) painting, bingo (remember how competitive she was), and all the parties, celebrations, and crafts kept her young and she loved every minute. Y’all have been our rocks in this uncertain world and you have guided us through the process with your wisdom. Thank you also for taking the time to come to the visitation. It meant more than you’ll ever know.

I don’t think that words can truly express how wonderful of an experience our Mom’s short stay at SummerHouse Ashton Manor was. Our story began in January starting with the first phone call I made to inquire about the services provided. I was greeted with such openness and welcoming. I was immediately offered a tour anytime I was available. One tour ended in three separate tours at three different times as other family members came into town and were curious about where Mom would live. During each tour, the team members we encountered introduced themselves with a warm smile, openness, and professionalism. Ashton Manor very much felt like a “home” environment. It is a beautiful place!
On short notice, we moved Mom in at the end of February. Once again, the entire team went above and beyond to accommodate us. They were always so generous with their time and assistance. There are so many details I could write about that made Mom happy and comfortable in her home but that would take too many pages to write so I will say this: every day when you would walk in the front door you were greeted with a warm hello and a smile as well as “how are you doing today?” This was the nature of everyone you encountered as you walked down the hall to Mom’s apartment. Mom’s comfort and happiness was a genuine concern of all of the team members. From basic assistance with getting the cable to function properly, to dietary accommodations and assistance with ADL’s, every team member readily offered their time and assistance.
A short list of adjectives to describe the team, quality of care, and warm home environment: kindness, caring, sincerity, professionalism, knowledgeable, hardworking, flexibility, thoughtfulness, welcoming, concern, humility, empathy, respect, and the list goes on! So on behalf of Mom, “HATS OFF” to the wonderful team at Ashton Manor! We truly appreciate everything they did for Mom and our family as well.
