Thinking of retirement? Have you thought about where you might want to settle down for your golden years? You may want to consider Metairie, LA. It was named one of the 50 best cities in which to live (in both Louisiana and America), even though it’s not actually a “city”. That’s saying quite a lot! Here, the feeling of an urban mix is offered to residents. There are numerous parks, coffee shops, restaurants, bars, and much more. Clearly, there is never a lack of something to do.
Before we explore some of the things to do in Metairie, LA, let’s learn a little bit about the New Orleans suburb.
Metairie, LA

Metairie’s climate is classified as subtropical/humid. Summers are, indeed, humid and winters are frequently mild. Annually, there is an approximate 6.5-inch rainfall. It’s the wettest in summer.
